Anyone see Oprah yesterday?
Although I disagree with many of Oprah's perspectives her show yesterday brought a little gratitude to my heart. Her show was about unforgettable dads. One Segment featured a single dad of 9, a man whose wife died shortly after giving birth, and one of a single mom whose son only met his dad once before he was killed in Iraq. I couldn't help but cry as I saw those sad stories and thought about how fragile life is. Yesterday I also found out that a woman at work's sweet 4 year old daughter Kendra had died after a year long struggle with Leukemia. The responsibility of sending flowers, collecting donations, choosing a card, and sending the obituary fell on me so I couldn't help but be consumed with thoughts of life and death and questions of recovery. How do you go on with your life without those you love? I can't imagine overcoming such great losses but I know that it's possible through faith in Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father's plan. The greatest thoughts on my mind have been to live with gratitude and cherish those we love. I hope I can be more content with my life and look out of my tiny little world and see what I can do for others...

Thanks

-Thanks for all of the birthday love-
Dave and I celebrated on the 6th (since he was on call on the 7th) with dinner at Tuchanos (sign up for their b-day list and you'll get a free meal) and a few presents at home. I was surprised when he handed me a heavy rectangular box, Ihad no idea what it was. When I opened it I was COMPLETELY shocked, it was a macbook. I have a seriously sweet hubby. Thanks Dave. Thanks to everyone else for their emails, texts, and cards, I feel so loved!

March vacation Pictures!

Anyone heard of Nastar? It is a race course on one of the runs that you pay to do. It was really neat b/c you go through a gate at the start and weave through the flags just like on Wii Fit :) We watched adults and some really tiny kids racing and decided we wanted to get in on the action. At the end of the race they tell you your time and stats- you are measured against your age group and can medal based on your time. Dave was about .5 second from medaling and I was about 1.5 seconds. Before we could give it another shot they closed up shop unfortunately. We'll be back Nastar!!!
